Loved the way a cliche story was turned in a dramatic experience.

Fascinating film: for me the actors' emotions were expressed as deeply as their afflictions/illnesses, with each seeking different ways to cope with personal and family tragedy, yet making critical connections of love and understanding at the same time.

The script left tears dangling in my eyes and I want to read it over and over again. I love the plotting, how conflicts where introduced and suspens held until the end. It was unpredictable, the foreign writer was unpredictable all through the story. My Grace hazel was my hero, at a time I taught she would die and leave gus but our authors took his life. Its unfair. Kudos.

I was really drawn to how 3 dimensional each character was, no matter the size of the role or number of lines- case and point- the dad (Michael) seemed as if he cried the whole movie, but the switch at the end showed that his strength came from a different area, which was beneficial for hazel and me, as the reader. I cried like a baby reading the end.

Despite a few missteps this is a spirited, touching romance and Shailene Woodley’s best performance yet. Divergent fans after a weepie need look no further.

The book itself is a really upsetting book I believe. However, the plot twist was really upsetting. The boys shouldn't of died and the story was to quick to end. You could improve the ending, by that I mean, you could o0f made it longer. I cried on that film and I thought it was going to be a sad ending, which it was but what could you of done to make it more sadder? You could of made it more sadder by letting them both die and happy ever. That would of been a sadder ending and more and more people would of wanted to watch it. Ps, Augusts' friend wasn't mentioned at all after Augustus died.

Beautiful screenplay, beautiful story. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have done a fantastic job of putting grief into words.
